Schedule: Full-Time | MondayFriday | 35 hours per week

Caseload: Varies by student assignment

Blazer Jobs is seeking a certified School Social Worker for a full-time, school-based role in Mason, MI. This position is ideal for a compassionate professional dedicated to supporting the academic, social, and emotional needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct support and interventions in non-academic areas, including social-emotional development, mental health, and behavioral support
Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement individualized student support plans in accordance with district and IEP/504 requirements
Conduct assessments and monitor student progress using formal and informal tools
Regularly communicate with parents, teachers, and support staff to exchange updates and strategies for student success
Prepare for and actively participate in IEP, 504, and other relevant student support meetings

Requirements:

Valid Michigan Social Worker license or appropriate credential
Experience working in school or educational settings preferred
Strong understanding of counseling strategies, social-emotional learning, and mental health interventions
Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff
Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate documentation
